My Weekly Workout Schedule

calendar-iconMy current workout schedule for the winter will be as follows:

  • Monday: Run 30 minutes in the morning before work. Weights with my trainer after work.
  • Tuesday: Run 30 minutes in the morning before work.
  • Wednesday: Run 30 minutes in the morning before work. Weights after work using workout provided by my trainer.
  • Thursday: Swimming 50 laps (1250 yd) after work
  • Friday: Run 30 minutes in the morning before work.
  • Saturday: Swim 50 laps (1250 yd) in the morning followed by weight workout provided by my trainer.
  • Sunday: Long run (5 miles+)

I was working out both before and after work every day but decided I needed to let my body rest a bit. Tuesday and Thursdays will be my days I only run or swim. I’m also training for a half marathon in April so Sundays will be the day I schedule my long runs.

I’ll be following this workout schedule until it gets a bit warmer out and the days last a little longer. At that time I’ll add some cycling to my schedule.
