Not sure if this will make a lot of sense to others but it has worked well for me. I’ve been on my journey for about 20 months. In that time I’ve lost a lot of weight. I’ve ran a half marathon. I now bike and swim on a regular basis. And through all of it I’ve never stressed over a number on a scale. Or that I wasn’t losing fast enough. Because honestly this was never really about losing weight. It was about becoming more healthy. Some might say it’s the same thing. But to me it isn’t. My logging is more about helping me choose better, more nutritional food than just counting calories or macros. The number on the scale is more about documenting my journey than whether I went up or down that day. I didn’t put a time on when I would lose weight by. I just wanted to eventually be more healthy. I honestly believe this is permanent for me because my goal was not to lose weight but be a healthier husband, son, friend, etc. I have the experience and knowledge now to be a healthier person. And that will make me successful.
