This week I was up about a half a pound. After last weeks drop I’m not sweating the change. I’m still under my maintenance weight so no need to stress myself out. This week I only logged my food for the first half of the week. I’m again trying to see how I can do making food choices and staying within my maintenance calorie range (~2800). When I’m not actively logging I tend to snack more in the afternoon after I get off work. I do really well before then. Going forward I need to work on this and figure out why I’m peckish during this time. I don’t necessarily feel hungry, I think it’s still out of boredom. This is an issue I had going into my weight loss and it’s still not completely gone. More work in this area is needed. If I can’t figure it out then I will have to continue logging my food to keep me accountable.
Strength: Monday was my final session with my training for now. I will continue to do strength workouts until the end of August on my own. I’m going to try and still do two a week until my YMCA membership expires. After that I will have to figure out how or if I will continue doing strength only training.
Crossfit: Again completed two Fitness Core Modules at the Underground lab this week and one for the weekend warrior workout. I worked out with Dylan and Fernando this week. I’m able to burn about 500-600 calories a session. Which is in line with what I was burning towards the beginning of my spin classes.
Running: No running this week. I got some new shoes that I want to take out for a spin this coming week. It was so hot this week that I didn’t feel like going out and running.
Cycling: No cycling workout this week. Hopefully it will cool down some this week so I can get at least one ride in.
Swimming: No workout this week. I need to get a few more swimming workouts in before my YMCA membership expires at the end of August.
Other: Attended the UGL 7th birthday party and played some sand volleyball. It’s been a very long time since I have played any type of volleyball. It along with tennis were my favorite sports as I was growing up. Now that I have lost a significant amount of weight I really want to start playing again.
Food: I only logged my food for the first three days this week. I’m going to try and go one or two more weeks without logging and see how my weight does. I want to see how far I’ve come in the ability to maintain my weight without having to enter everything I eat. This might or might now work for me. I still have issues as I said before with snacking in the afternoons after work.
Final Thoughts: Basically a hold this week. The heat has kept me from doing a lot outside. I’ll have to figure out how to keep up my “calories out” on weeks like this or reduce how much I eat to compensate.
