There are so many walls in Attack on Titan; they should open up a Walmart. That joke doesn’t make much sense, but neither do some of Eren Jaeger’s decisions.
The world of Wall Maria, Rose, and Sina created by Hajime Isayama is not meant to make perfect sense. This mange and anime series is about two things: stonemasonry and titans.
Things like finessed characterization take a back seat to action and big-picture intrigue.
Don’t get us wrong; we like it.
Eren and Mikasa Ackerman deal with a challenge more extraordinary than any of the titan characters… Armin Arlert.
We can’t publish an article on Shingeki no Kyogin without taking a stab at the blond nuisance himself. With that out of the way, keep reading to learn more about Eren.
(Anime Spoiler Alert: We will refer to events and reveals without a second thought. If you are behind in Attack on Titan media, manga, or anime, tread lightly.)
Eren Yeager’s Age and Family
Eren may not be the most level-headed, adept at critical thinking, or considerate person in the world, but he is without question the protagonist of Attack on Titan.
He joined the 104th training corps with Mikasa and Armin with the goal of becoming defenders of their society.
Without Mikasa, he surely would have perished long ago. He gets one thing right: Eren vows to kill every single solitary titan there is, and we support him in that endeavor. Full stop.
How Old Is Eren?
As the anime series and manga unfold, big chunks of time pass. One period of time is completely left out, referred to as the time skip by fans.
Luckily, we know Eren, Mikasa, and Armin’s ages in the year 845, when Wall Amria fell; we can find Eren’s age at any point in the series and beyond.
There’s no need to consider the handful of flashbacks that depict Eren as a little boy. He’s young. You get it. Eren is 15 years old for the bulk of the series. Just before the time skip, he is 19 years old.
This tracking of his age follows the first three seasons of Attack on Titan. The time skip then occurs in season four and chapter 11.
How Old Is Eren After the Time Skip?
The time skip of Attack on Titan wipes out roughly four years for the characters. Eren is 22 years old following the beginning of season four and chapter 102.
As with the other characters, you can consider this to be his “current” age, despite the fact he does not exist with us co-temporally.
