DMZ Season 3 brought in the Barter System, and since then, it’s been a popular addition for fans. When players are not fighting for survival, they can collect non-lethal items such as bandages and liquor to trade at the Barter System. Let’s take a closer look at how this system works in DMZ in Season 6.

What is the Barter System in DMZ?
So, what exactly is the Barter System in DMZ? It’s a novel way to trade in collectibles for useful equipment like Plate Carriers, Backpacks, and Keys.
However, players must know the recipe or combination of items to get what they want. Standing around at a buy station is never a good idea, so we created this quick reference guide so you know what you need before you get there.
Where is the Barter System?
You can access the Barter System at any Buy Station. Every Buy Station on Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, Building 21, Vondel, and Koschei has a new tab dedicated to Barter. Here, you can exchange items for equipment, such as 3-Plate vest and the new Skeleton Key.

There are two different buy stations in Koschei Complex, both run by a mysterious missing operator called the Shopkeeper. The normal buy station is open regardless, and the second is secured and can only be opened by trading items from his list.

The new secret scavenger buy station has been added since season 5. To access this buy station, you need to find a disguise field upgrade and then find the scavenger. Equip your disguise and sneak up on him (do not shoot!). The secret buy station will be revealed.
The items in the buy station are reduced, but you are also able to barter for an array of items using, you guessed it, dog tags.

Zaya Observatory now has a secret deployable buy station buried beneath it. Like the scavengers deployable buy station this can only be accessed in a certain way. You have to wait until the radiation circle has covered the buy station and only then will you have access.
