No one could have predicted that a voracious, pink lump of sentient bubblegum would become the cultural phenomenon that is Kirby.
Dream Land and Planet Popstar are filled with funky creatures like Kirby himself, Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, and more.
Our favorite Kirby game is Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, but many of Kirby’s adventures through the video games have been a blast. Superstar Saga is a close second place in the series of Kirby games.
Voiced by Makiko Ohmoto and created by Masahiro Sakurai, Kirby the nascent Star Warrior and Super Smash Bros series mainstay HYAH’d and HOH’d his way into our hearts.

Kirby’s Age and Origins
We can’t know for certain whether Kirby ages at all; it’s possible this was his first and only stage of development, and he has no limited lifespan or aging process. He’s not a person or a recognizable animal.
There are no beings like Kirby in the games or anime series. What would his age even mean beyond a numerical digit to say over and over? Honestly, not much. We’ll try our best, anyway.
The first Kirby release was Kirby’s Dream Land for the Game Boy, a handheld console we can only recall fleeting bits and pieces of.
He’s since made it to dozens of spin-offs and all Super Smash Bros. iterations.
How Old Is Kirby?
As Kirby says, “Hiiiiiiiii~!”
Kirby could not be further from being a human. As a media character, Kirby has been around since 1992. Though, he is literally an alien who cannot speak and inhales enemies to absorb their abilities.
Sounds like a teen, am I right? Kirby is 30 years old as a known game character; his canonical age has NEVER been stated in any useful form.
He is often referred to as a “kid,” but that doesn’t give much to go on as the people saying it are not human and also did not know Kirby prior to his strange arrival. If you want to think of Kirby as a 30 year-old, be our guest.
His general demeanor and behavior make him seem like a young child.
Still, he turns around and takes down a terrifying mechanical airship using his bare hands and mouth, notably un-childlike.
The “rEaL aGe” of characters like Kirby is a frustrating nothing we need to learn to live with.
