The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu No Taizai) is an anime and manga series. In the United States, the anime is exclusively available to stream on Netflix.
This show has it all: magic attacks, a Boar Hat bar, talking pigs, the fountain of youth, a confusing supreme deity, and more!
The first main character and star of The Seven Deadly Sins is the plucky blonde Meliodas.
This unassuming boy is the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath, sometimes-husband-sometimes-boyfriend of BartraLiones; As the former leader of the Ten Commandments, Meliodas’s full power level is astonishing.
Beware of potential spoilers if you have not watched or read the whole series. There will be some vague lore history that reveals tiny secret details.

Meliodas’ Age, Demon Mark, and Family
Meliodas and Elizabeth (Goddess Elizabeth, if you’re being formal) have a Romeo and Juliet thing that dates back 3,000 years to the Holy War.
What does this mean for Meliodas’s seemingly long life, powers, and relationships with the goddess clan, younger brother, and others?
How Old Is Meliodas?
Meliodas and Zeldris are not your average pair of brothers. Being of the Demon Clan, both can live nearly indefinitely. (Especially Meliodas, for Supreme Deity curse reasons.)
How do their ages stack up? It’s… complicated.
So, Nanatsu No Taizai does that widespread anime trope thing where characters are thousands of years old but act some typical human age.
People say that Meliodas is the older brother, but what does that mean after 3,000 years? What about 6,000 years?
During the Holy War, they were both present fighting for the Demon Clan; eventually, Zeldris was sealed away while Meliodas was cursed to die repeatedly.
I wouldn’t call either situation “aging normally.” Counting this is a challenge.
Technically speaking, Meliodas is over 3,000 years old, so is his brother Zeldris. Do with that what you will.
Editorializing, How Old Does Meliodas Seem?
We could quote other fan sources that state ages, but what help would that be?
Meliodas is a warrior, likes women, and owns a bar. Whatever age this suggests to you, you are welcome to apply it to our Dragon’s Sin of Wrath.
His youthful appearance makes this more difficult; given everything, we would estimate his “person age” in the mid-late twenties range at the very least because of his whole demeanor and character.
Now Demon Mark Meliodas is a different story. The change in his demeanor and energy makes him seem callous and older.
I’d buy this version of the Demon Prince is as old as 50.
