She aims to find interesting things, such as aliens, time travelers, and espers, so she starts a school club with that purpose. Unbeknownst to her, she ends up recruiting those exact eccentric entities!

Furthermore, she is an eccentric entity herself. She has god-like powers that can destroy and create the universe itself. However, she is oblivious to it, and her sudden boredom and mood swings can implode reality at the drop of a hat!

24. Kafuka Fuura (Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei)

Unlike other characters in this list, Kafuka doesn’t display the typical crazy anime girl behavior. She’s not a yandere or a psychopath, nor does she display violent tendencies.

A lot of the hilariously awkward and disturbing scenes in the show are from her daydreams and thoughts. She can get pretty grim and perverted, like when she thinks about her death or her fascination with underwear.

Yumeko shows her unhinged nature when it comes to gambling. Whenever she takes risks or almost loses, she feels excitement like no other! It’s the rush and thrill of the game that makes her come back for more.

She even wants her friends to feel the same excitement she gets, so she pushes them to play riskier gambling games. That’s totally being a bad influence on your friends, but to be fair, she means well.

12. Yuki Takeya (School-Live)

After a zombie attack that killed almost everyone at school, Yuki couldn’t handle her new reality, and she developed delusions to protect herself. She became cheerful again with these lies.

Due to her unfortunate upbringing, Satou developed a warped understanding of love. She later channeled that emotion to Shio, a lost little girl whom she picked from the streets.

Satou keeps Shio hidden in her apartment. On the outside, Satou acts like a sweet and kind girl, but her real personality is an evil manipulator who’s obsessed with Shio.

She will do anything to keep her for herself. Scary.

10. Hibana Daida (Deadman Wonderland)

Deadman Wonderland is another anime that’s full of crazy characters. But the stand out among this myriad of lunatics is Hibana.

She grew up with an abusive mother who relentlessly tortured and punished her. As a result, she became violent herself and developed a twisted way of dealing with things.

She ended up killing and torturing her classmates over a childish grievance. It is also implied that she did the same thing to her mother.

Anna’s naivety and innocent nature make her super oblivious to lewd things that she often doesn’t know that she’s being inappropriate and crazy!

Suffice it to say, Ragyo won’t be getting any “Best Mom” mugs anytime soon.

7. Tanya (Tanya the Evil)

Yep, from the title alone, Tanya is pretty much an evil psychopath compressed in a little girl’s body. She is cold, calculating, and ruthless and only sees others as objects she can use.

She is actually an ordinary Japanese salaryman reincarnated as a nine-year-old girl in an alternate war-torn Europe.

Due to her impressive strategic talents and ruthlessness on the battlefield, she became a useful asset in the war and eventually became the leader of a battalion.

6. Shion (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni)

Shion is well-remembered by fans as the creepy and psychotic twin who descended into madness and casually tortured and killed people.

The main reason for her mental breakdown is the disappearance of Satoshi, whom she developed feelings for. She vowed to exact revenge on the people she thinks is the cause of her beloved’s suffering.

She went too far, though. Imprisonment, stabbing, and tasing? Her torture methods were too scary and crazy!

5. Lucy (Elfen Lied)

Elfen Lied’s story is crazy and violent, so it’s no wonder that its protagonist is also considered one of the most crazy anime girls. In fact, Lucy’s overall character and morality are hard to put into words.

Due to who she is, Lucy grew up in a cruel environment void of any care or love. She was experimented on, tormented, and tortured just for being one of the specially evolved species.

Her smile hides a sinister side of her, which is her twisted understanding of love and friendship. She gets obsessed and attaches herself to anyone she wants to be friends with, to the detriment of her targets.

Numerous times, characters have expressed uncomfortableness whenever Himiko forces herself to them. And on top of her creepy behavior, she consumes blood!

Yep, her Quirk can copy others if she consumes their blood. That’s the creepy cherry on top of this multi-layer of creepiness!

3. Kotonoha and Sekai (School Days)

This is a 2-for-1 entry, but honestly, it’s just difficult to pick which one of these girls deserves a place on our list.

One could argue that these two girls are innocent victims of that trash called Mikoto, but we can’t deny that their actions towards the end of the story are vile and crazy.

After being used and lied to by Makoto, Sekai ends up stabbing him and cutting his head off. In her crazy and dazed state, she presents his head to Kotonoha.

Kotonoha, who’s also a victim of Makoto’s lies, became mad herself at the sight of Makoto’s severed head. She ends up killing Sekai and even carving out her stomach to see if she’s really pregnant with Makoto’s baby.

And now you know why School Days is notorious in the anime community. The ending was so brutal and insane that it was canceled on TV.

2. Yuno Gasai (Future Diary)

For a lot of anime fans, Yuno is the Yandere queen! With her obsession and her true ruthless personality, there’s no way we wouldn’t include her in a list of crazy anime girls.

Her parents’ cruel treatment of her drove her to be mentally unstable. But in this darkness, Yukiteru became her light when he promised her a happy married life in the future.

Since then, Yuno dedicated herself to Yukiteru. During the events of the Survival Game, she would go to great lengths to ensure her and Yukiteru’s survival, even going so far as killing other participants and even attempting to harm his friends.

At one point, she even kidnapped Yukiteru! Yandere fans, please explain the appeal of this because, to us, it just looks scary.

As a self-proclaimed fashionista, she’s probably the best-dressed among the crazies on this list. Not only is she pretty, but she’s charismatic to boot. She really got everyone fooled by how air-headed and girly she is.

But the real Junko is full of apathy and obsessed with despair. She absolutely cannot stand boredom and would rather be entertained by someone’s despair and torment. She even welcomes her own demise.

On top of that, she can even imitate others just for the heck of it and can switch between personas seamlessly. It’s truly creepy to behold!
