Saitama Isn’t as Strong as You Think!

Saitama Isn’t as Strong as You Think!

The name Saitama often comes up when talking about the strongest anime characters.

Most fans regard him as the ultimate challenge for any anime character who wants to prove their strength, though he might not be a match for characters on this list.

Saitama Isn’t Actually That Strong

A lot of One Punch Man fans understand how powerful Saitama is, but they overestimate his power against characters from other animes.

It’s common knowledge that One Punch Man is insanely strong, even when faced with characters from other animes, but there are some even he has no chance of beating.

However, before jumping into the list of characters that hand it to Saitama, let’s remind ourselves just how powerful he is.

Saitama’s Powers and Abilities

Saitama Weak

Saitama has quite a few abilities and powers that he can use to crush most enemies that get in his way:

Limitless Strength – Saitama’s strength seems limitless, shown by how he can easily defeat any entity with a single punch. There was even a time when he dispersed the gases on Jupiter by merely sneezing.

God-like Speed and Reflexes – Saitama can complete 1000-meter dashes in an instant, and he can nonchalantly dodge attacks moving at super speed.

Super Stamina and Endurance – Saitama doesn’t become tired when fighting and can keep going even after battling for days.

Super Eyesight – When he was kicked to the Moon by Boros, he could easily locate the exact location of Boros on Earth with just his eyes.

Invulnerability – Saitama is seen to take no damage from beings as powerful as Boros and Carnage Kabuto. It hasn’t been documented getting hurt from any altercation he’s gone through.

Vacuum Adaptation – Saitama has mastered control of his breathing, even being able to hold his breath in outer space without even looking dazed.

Accelerated Development – Saitama achieved an unparalleled growth rate, having no natural limit to his power.

Non-Physical Interaction – Saitama can separate his consciousness from his body to enter spiritual spaces previously thought to be out of reach.

Mimicry – By observing other techniques, Saitama can make them his own and improve on them.

Hand-to-Hand Proficiency – Even though Satiama has never had hand-to-hand combat, he’s gained all the knowledge ever needed through sheer battle experience.

Improvisations – Saitama can easily use an improvised weapon and does quite well with them.

Accuracy – Whenever Saitama focuses on a target, he hardly ever misses.

Normal Attacks – Saitama has attacks that he puts minimal effort into, though they’re usually more than enough to take care of most enemies.

Serious Attacks – Saitama puts more effort into these attacks, making them capable of easily destroying anything they encounter.

Characters Stronger Than Saitama

It might be difficult to believe for Saitama fanboys, but many characters are way stronger than Saitama, even with his ability to beat anyone with a single punch.

Anos Voldigoad (The Misfit of Demon King Academy)

Anos Voldigoad

Known as the Demon King of Tyranny, Anos Voldigoad is a nearly immortal being capable of taking on gods.

Whether he decides to simply put Saitama to sleep or kill him instantly only by gazing at him, Saitama stands no chance against Anos.

Even with Saitama’s super speed, Anos can instantly teleport away and simply gaze at him to end his existence.

Haruhi Suzumiya (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)

Haruhi Suzumiya

Haruhi Suzumiya is literally god. She is an omnipotent being wielding so much power that she cannot even be put in the realm of a normal anime character.

Therefore, when facing off against Saitama, she must merely wish for him to be gone, and so it will be. There is nothing Saitama can do if he vanishes before he can simply attempt an attack.

Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)

Usagi Tsukino

Usagi Tsukino is a magical girl who wields the Silver Crystal, making her unable to die, but also resurrect others and bend time and space at her will.

Even Saitama, with his physical prowess, has no way of touching, let alone reaching Usagi, and would instantly cease to exist if they were to ever meet in combat.

Anti-Spiral (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)

Anti Spiral

Anti-Spiral is a cosmic entity said to possess limitless powers, targeting entire universes instead of mere planets.

Due to Anti-Spiral’s insane scale and basically being considered god, Saitama has no way of even getting to him. In all truth, Saitama is so weak to Anti-Spiral that he would not even bother with him.

Whis (Dragon Ball Super)

Whis

Whis is the strongest being of Universe 7, with the power to stop gods with a single punch and speed unmatched by most combatants.

Saitama might be fast, but Whis is faster, and if you think Saitama can punch hard, wait until Whis gets a hold of Saitama. I’m sure half the universe would be gone along with Saitama if he were to channel some of his power!

Madoka Kaname (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Madoka Kaname

If you thought Usagi Tsukino was powerful, think twice, as Madoka Kaname reaches even greater levels as a magical girl.

Madoka is capable of rewriting time itself, becoming a law of the universe as she exists, and easily being able to handle anything Saitama were to throw at her.

Final Thoughts

Anime has some insanely powerful characters, ranging from simple reincarnations in isekai, spellcasters, demon lords, and even literal gods.

Saitama might not be the strongest character in anime, but his power can’t be denied, and he’ll definitely give a lot of characters a good run for their money.
