The 10 Best Bunny Villagers in Animal Crossing [2024]

The 10 Best Bunny Villagers in Animal Crossing [2024]

Bunny villagers are quite popular for very good reasons, aside from having really cute character designs, there are a lot of them – they’re the second most abundant species in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

They are very varied with their themes and designs as well.

There are a total of 22 of them in New Horizons, and your choices feel almost endless with them, like choosing from an apple bunny to a superhero one.

From these 22 bunnies, we took the responsibility of pinpointing the best ones among them. Here is our listicle on the best bunny villagers in Animal Crossing. Let’s hop to it then!

10. Mira

Animal Crossing Mira

Personality: Big Sister / Sisterly

Catchphrase: Cottontail

Hobby: Fitness

Favorite Saying: “Always help a friend in need.”

Decked out on her superhero outfit, Mira is a Sisterly villager who looks out for you like a big sister and aims to help and protect the town from evildoers.

These bad eggs are probably just scorpions, wasps, and tarantulas doing what they do best, but you bet Mira will lend a hand.

If you have her as your initial Sisterly villager, you can probably learn how to make Medicine from her to heal you from wasp stings. Thanks, Mira!

9. Snake

Animal Crossing Snake

Personality: Jock

Catchphrase: bunyip

Hobby: Fitness

Favorite Saying: “A good ninja is neither seen nor heard.”

Snake isn’t a snake, but you bet he tries to be sneaky. His goal is to be a great ninja, after all!

He builds up his ninja strength by focusing on his Fitness hobby and lifting dumbbells every now and then.

8. Dotty

Animal Crossing Dotty

Personality: Peppy

Catchphrase: Wee one

Hobby: Fashion

Favorite Saying: “It’s always a good hare day.”

For true-blue bunny fans, you’ll immediately notice that Dotty’s design is based on a real rabbit. The black spots on her shows that her character design is based on Dutch rabbits!

It’s also possible that her English name, Dotty, is based on that as well.

When she’s angry or shocked, Dotty’s eyes actually turn red! This wee rabbit is pretty unique.

7. Ruby

Animal Crossing Ruby

Personality: Peppy

Catchphrase: Li’l ears

Hobby: Nature

Favorite Saying: “You can always take the red-eye.”

Peppy villagers always look very lively and cheery, which makes Ruby one of the anomalies. She has a neutral and emotionless expression on her face almost all the time.

The only moments where Ruby shows a different emotion is when she is upset or mulling over things.

She is based on the East Asian folklore of the moon rabbit, and because of this, her house is filled with moon and space-related furniture, like Asteroids, Lunar Surface floor, and a Lunar Rover.

She is also an albino rabbit with freckles, and she has been rocking her Rabbit Tee since Animal Crossing: Wild World. Stay rabbit-y, Ruby!

6. Bunnie

Animal Crossing Bunnie

Personality: Peppy

Catchphrase: Tee-hee

Hobby: Fashion

Favorite Saying: “Hare today, gone tomorrow.”

Bunnie is definitely a bunny, but she’s not actually based on any real-life rabbits.

Her red fur and light cream face resemble an apple bunny instead, which is a slice of apple cut and peeled to look like a rabbit. Sweet and cute!

5. Genji

Animal Crossing Genji

Personality: Jock

Catchphrase: Mochi

Hobby: Fitness

Favorite Saying: “Fall down seven times, get up eight.”

Genji is an inspiration. He might not look like a typical Jock villager with his tiny rabbit build, but he is relentless with exercising and building up his muscles.

With his Fitness hobby, his best friend is his dumbbells, and every day is lift day with him.

From his favorite saying, he also tells us to keep working on our goals no matter the obstacles in our way. You’re the rabbit, Genji!

4. Chrissy

Animal Crossing Chrissy

Personality: Peppy

Catchphrase: Sparkles

Hobby: Fashion

Favorite Saying: “A fool and their Bells are soon parted.”

We’ve got a celeb bunny in our midst here!

Aside from being a popular Peppy villager, Chrissy is also known to be one of the bunnies featured in the cover of K.K. Slider’s Bubblegum K.K. song! This is quite an iconic song in the Animal Crossing games.

She’s a really good example of a Peppy villager as well.

Peppies can be really bubbly and energetic, and Chrissy shows that with her pink polka-dotted hood over her head and ears, her bright eyes that go well with her catchphrase, her fondness for Fashion, and her overall pinkness.

3. Francine

Animal Crossing Francine

Personality: Snooty

Catchphrase: Karat

Hobby: Fashion

Favorite Saying: “You can’t have wise folks if you don’t have fools too.”

The other half of our celebrity bunny duo is Francine. She is Chrissy’s older sister, who is also featured on K.K. Slider’s Bubblegum K.K. She loves dressing up due to her hobby.

She’s also a great example of a Snooty villager. Her expression fits the classy but slight uppity nature of Snooties, and her catchphrase is a play on carrot and their love of finer things like jewelry.

Stay precious, Francine.

2. Coco

Animal Crossing Coco

Personality: Normal

Catchphrase: Doyoing

Hobby: Education

Favorite Saying: “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.”

Some players find her character design a bit off-putting, but when you get to know Coco, you’ll see that she’s actually very sweet and pleasant.

With her Normal personality, soft voice, and caring conversations with you, she is a delightful bunny to add to your island.

Her design comes from haniwa figures during the Yayoi period in Japan. This little historical lesson fits Coco so well because of her Education hobby. Coco says stay in school, folks!

1. Sasha

Animal Crossing Sasha

Personality: Lazy

Catchphrase: Hoppity

Hobby: Fashion

Favorite Saying: “Timing is everything.”

He’s adorable, he’s cute, and he’s a surprise! We proclaim Sasha as our top rabbit due to his character design and surprising gender and personality.

Who can resist those cute gleaming eyes? We definitely can’t!
